Russian Posters

This sale consists of over 100 Russian propaganda posters from the first 40 years of the Soviet period. It features better works by such masters of the propaganda poster genre as Apsit, Moor, Deni, Cheremnykh, Kochergin, Koretsky, Ivanov; a rare 1924 Constructivist film poster for a film that won a Gold medal at the Paris Arts Exhibition in 1925, but is now lost; and a strong selection of 1930s posters highlighted by a large satirical photomontage work of Boris Klinch. Viewers will also find a wide range of WWII posters, and some interesting post-WWII material.
