Adelaide Asian Auctions, Terms and Conditions for Auctions only.
All property offered and sold through Adelaide Asian Auctions shall be offered and sold on the terms and conditions set forth below. By bidding at the auction, whether present in person or by agent, by absentee bid, telephone, internet or other means, the buyer agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions.
1. Payments must be received within 10 days of the auction, more payment information below.
2. Adelaide Asian Auctions is pleased to announce that we will be offering in-house postal services. In order to better serve our customers, your purchases can be posted directly from our office to your address of choice, avoiding pick-up fees and the hassle of having to contact another company. We have had a 100% success rate posting with Australia Post and they are our preferred postage company although you may request for us to use your preferred postage company. When making a purchase with Adelaide Asian Auctions , please inform us if you intend to take advantage of our in-house postal services.
3. A 9% buyer's premium will be added to the hammer price of each lot for floor, absentee and phone bidders. (12% for LiveAuctioneers bidders).
4. All properties are sold as is and all sales are final. All description and commentary are believed to be correct, although neither auctioneer or consignor makes any warranties or representations of any kind with respect to items. Buyer shall not rely on the auctioneer, employees, the catalog description, or advertisements in any part, and must rely only on his own inspection and opinions of all items.
Adelaide Asian Auctions does not guarantee the authenticity of any item or lot. All items or lots will be sold as is, without any warranties. All sales are final, no returns will be accepted unless an item or lot is significantly misdescribed. We must receive a certificate from a qualified professional that significantly contradicts our description for a return to be accepted. Our specialists and often third party specialists study, inspect and research all items or lots that have specific description and we do our upmost to provide accurate desciptions.
For consideration of buyers we disclose any damage an item or lot may have. Adelaide Asian Auctions cannot guarantee any of the lot number descriptions, illustrations, and conditions as they are provided as reference, judgment is at the discretion of the buyer.
5. All bidders shall obtain a bidding number when registering for the auction before auctions starts by presenting or submitting their valid id card or valid passport. All bidders shall keep the number under their safe custody, any shall not lend the same to any other person(s). Otherwise, they shall bear all the responsibilities associated with the use of their number for bidding or any other use.
6. If you are the high bidder on an item, you will receive an invoice by email within 48 hours with instructions regarding payment and postage of your item. You will be given the opportunity at that time to contact us and let us know your preferred method of making payment (credit card, bank/cashier check, cash or wire transfer). For your protection Source and Collect or our auction division Adelaide Asian Auctions, by law, no not store your credit card information on our servers or in our files, we only request the credit card facility to charge your card, such as directly entering your details into our eftpos machine, when necessary to pay an invoice.
7. We accept credit cards (Master Card, Visa, and Amex), bank/cashier checks, cash, and wire transfers. Payments by credit card will be charged an additional 2%. If payment is made by cash, wire transfer or bank/cashier check there is no additional charge. Payments by wire transfer can be made into our Source and Collect business account held with Westpac Bank. All payments or settlements shall be made in Australian dollars, buyers shall only collect the lots after full payments are made. Should payments be made by bank /cashier checks or wire transfer, lots will only be released after funds clear which is usually 1-3 business days.
Payments must be received within 10 days of the auction.
8. All property purchased from Adelaide Asian Auctions must be removed within 30 days after the auction date. Adelaide Asian Auctions will not be responsible for paid items left for over 30 days after the auction date. (unless a prior agreement has been made). Items left after 30 days will incur a $5/day storage fee per item. Once storage fees have exceeded the actual purchase price of the item(s) Adelaide Asian Auctions can exercise the right to re-auction.
9. All items are sold to the highest bidder as acknowledged by the auctioneer. The auctioneer has the right to reject any bid. The auctioneer is the arbiter of any disputed bid. He may reopen bidding at his discretion and reject bids deemed inappropriate. The auctioneer reserves the right to withdraw any item and to reoffer the item at another time. Every effort is made by the auctioneer to execute all bids, including floor, absentee, telephone and internet bids. We are not responsible for any missed bids. Adelaide Asian Auctions reserves the right to cancel any sale or bid before, during, and after the auction.
10. Some property that is sold at auction can be subject to laws governing export from Australia, such as items that include material from endangered species. Import restrictions from foreign countries are subject to these same governing laws. Granting of licensing for import or export of goods is the sole responsibility of the buyer. Denial or delay of licensing will not constitute cancellation or delay in payment for the total purchase price of these lots. Adelaide Asian Auctions does not provide international postage for items made of, or containing ivory, rhinoceros horn or other materials pertaining to endangered species.
