Penthouse Pets are not only some of the sexiest women to have ever graced the pages of gentlemen?s magazines, but they also helped set the standard for female beauty. Since its creation in 1965, Penthouse featured models that were chosen specifically by Bob Guccione in order to create the look he desired. Yet it wasn?t until the 1970?s when Guccione?s aesthetic in erotic photography really started to gain traction and models flocked to the magazine in hopes of becoming a Penthouse Pet. These Pets were willing to do whatever it took to help Guccione fulfill his vision and because of dedication, Guccione was the first to display full frontal nudity, pubic hair and all in a glossy pictorial. This was something that even rival, Hugh Hefner, vowed he would never, ever show. But Guccione saw the vision of erotica and what the future could hold for not only Penthouse Magazine but for erotic photography as a whole. Combined with these vintage Penthouse Pets who dared to bare it all, Penthouse experienced decades of sexual revolution. This auction commemorates those women who fearlessly bared it all for our voyeuristic pleasure.
