Craftsman Auctions proudly presents the Burton and Paula Geyer collection of early Gustav Stickley furniture and lighting. The pieces rank among the best of their kind, and include a rare side table inset with twelve square Grueby tiles; a sensational Bride's Chest; six leather-top tables and an extremely rare Eastwood armchair; a Dirk van Erp large hammered copper "Milk Can" table lamp; and an exceptional 12" Grueby melon-shaped vase. This important collection is rounded out by furniture by Roycroft and L & JG Stickley as well as Dirk van Erp copper items, Grueby pottery, and fine Rookwood plaques. In addition to an impressive selection of fine furniture, the Geyer collection will be followed by other outstanding items being featured throughout the two-day auction, including a rare Grueby "Kendrick" vase and an exceptional Roycroft hammered copper table lamp designed by Dard Hunter. Lamps are a highlight of the auction with two exceptional Fulper lamps, a hanging Fulper lighting fixture and incredible lampshades. An outstanding selection of tiles is being offered including a very rare Grueby salesman's sample tile. Other noteworthy tiles include fine works by De Porceleyne Fles, Teco, California as well as many other high-end pieces. Desirable pieces of pottery that are being featured include George Ohr, Overbeck, and Adelaide Robineau. Newcomb College is represented by an exceptional and early vase carved by Leona Nicholson with yellow and light blue blossoms on a cobalt and deep green ground.
