Hollywood Memorabilia and Antiques And More
We proudly bring you a collection of award winning sound editor Milton Burrow as well as pieces from his sons, also in the sound business in Hollywood.
Milton C. Burrow, sometimes credited as Cathey Burrow, began working in the mail room at MovieTone Studios-now Fox Studios, in 1950. Shortly thereafter, he became an assistant on the sound stages, working for the sound department. Fox, Universal, Warner Bros and Paramount all recognized his talent and reverence for precise and accurate sound design. He developed close relationships with such notable names as Aaron Spelling, Sydney Pollack, and Clint Eastwood. Through these close relationships, particularly with Eastwood, Burrow brought his sons, Neil and Scott. No relationship was ever as tight as that with Eastwood, who gave him memorabilia from deep in the vaults, primarily at Warner Bros. It was Eastwood who gave Burrow photo stills, publicity shots, and endless reels of film and sound to contribute to his own library.
These are the artifacts of more than 40 years working in the film industry and more than 60 years of friendships that extended beyond his work. Included are rare Golden Reel Awards; Marilyn Monroe memorabilia; A Clockwork Orange; Rare Mattel Commercial for never released toy; Led Zeppelin Concert Footage for Song Remains the Same; Russ Meyer footage; audio files for Linda Blair's audition in the Exorcist; Smokey & the Bandit; vintage Looney Tunes and other cartoons, commercials, so much more film/audio footage.
