European Décor & Design | Bonhams Skinner This eclectic sale includes an extensive private collection of furniture and decorative arts from a South Shore, MA gentleman, and a large assemblage of Doulton stonewares highlighted by a large three-handled presentation loving cup titled Presented to A. Baldwin by colleagues at Royal Doulton Potteries on the occasion of his marriage 2nd Sept. 1925 and with inscribed signatures of the factory workers, as well as other Doulton Chang and Jade wares. Russian items are well represented and include Faberge and Faberge -type items, bronzes, purpurin and a number of icons. A furniture highlight is a Spanish bone Inlaid two-part Bargueño from a private Boston consignor. Fine art is also nicely represented with a Laura Coombs Hills (1859-1952) Rosa Hugonis. The decorative arts includes a number of bronze, of note Striding Tiger after Antoine-Louis Barye (French 1795-1875) and Femme au Levrier by Raymond Leon Rivoire (French, 1884-1966). Porcelains include a nice assortment with Royal Worcester hand painted vases by Stinton and Davis, as well as wares from Vienna, Paris and Meissen manufacturers.
