Additional highlights include a rare Armand-Albert Rateau vanity exemplifying the artist's mastery of wrought iron, a stylish Jean Royère salon suite, commissioned for Mr. and Mrs. André Castoriano, Peru, and Diego Giacometti's Étoile' Andirons alongside Alberto Giacometti's ‘Calabash' Table lamp. Showcasing private collections, works from the Mary & John Pappajohn Collection are represented with experimental ceramics by Peter Voulkos. Property of an Important American Collection present unique designs by Hervé Van Der Straeten alongside Ingrid Donat and Claude Lalanne. Property from a Distinguished American Collection brings together François-Xavier Lalanne's 'Éléphantine' tables and an impressive array of sculptural ceramics by Axel Salto. The 7 June auction also celebrates Italian design with early and rare works by Gio Ponti on view amid an array of forms by Ettore Sottsass, Carlo Scarpa glass, and stylish creations by Gabriela Crespi.
