STERN PISSARRO GALLERY TERMS AND CONDITIONS These Terms and Conditions of Sale constitute the contract between Stern Pissarro Gallery (SPG) and the Buyer. By bidding on any Lot from Stern Pissarro Gallery on liveauctioneers the Buyer agrees to all terms and conditions as outlined below. TERMS a) SPG refers to Stern Pissarro Gallery or any Employee thereof who maintains the right to sell the work. b) The Buyer means the person acknowledged by SPG as meeting all conditions of the sale. GUARANTEE SPG guarantees the authenticity of all works for sale by artists from the Pissarro family, without any time limits. All works by the Pissarro family will be sold with a Certificate of Authenticity. We are unique in the auction world in our ability to guarantee our works. BUYERS PREMIUM We do not charge a buyer?s premium on any lots sold in this auction. PAYMENT The Buyer will within 14 days of the sale pay the full amount of the purchase price plus any applicable VAT. Stern Pissarro Gallery will not ship any work until payment has been received in full, (in the case of payment by cheque, cheques must clear). Payment can be made in US dollars either by wire transfer to our US-based dollar account, or by American Express. Because this is a UK-based auction, payments made by Visa or Mastercard will need to be processed in pound sterling and converted according to the spot rate on the day of payment. VAT Please note unless exported directly from SPG outside the EU (European Union) all works will be subject to VAT at the rate applicable at the time of sale, unless indicated to the contrary within the Lot description. The current standard rate of UK VAT is 20%. SHIPPING AND COLLECTION OF WORKS a) Works can be collected in person from SPG, but if so payments by credit card will need to be made at the time of collection. b) The Buyer can nominate their own shipper. In order to get VAT exemption for works shipped outside the EU, works must shipped directly from the gallery by our approved shippers who will provide a proof of export. c) SPG is happy to assist the Buyer with shipping arrangements, and pack without charge unframed works or provide the Buyer with quotes for shipping and insurance. Here are some examples of shipping costs to the U.S.A: Painting dimensions include frame. Sizes up to 26 x 30 inches - £200 (approximately $320) 32 x 38 inches - £380 (approximately $635) SPG provides a high standard of accuracy in descriptions of works, and condition reports will be provided upon request. If we are aware of a serious issue, it will already be noted in the Lot description. Due to the limitations of digital photography and the varied lighting of computer screens, please allow for slight variations in the colour of images. SPG is a member of the Society of London Art Dealers (SLAD) and advised by all its terms and conditions.
