This is a Yale & Towne U.S. Cavalry horse bit from the Indian Wars era. The bit is marked "Y&T" and "US 1". The U.S. Cavalry horse bit is in good overall condition. It does show wear and use consisten

US Army horse bit

Nice vintage US military cavalry horse bridle. Good condition with wear from use and age. Displays well with "US" buttons.

Retains much of original bright nickel finish and ends of reins, with both US brass bosses. H: 3 in., W: 9.25 in., D: 5.75 in.

Confederate Cavalry style horse bit. Approx. 6" long x 6.5" wide.

Model 1906 US Cavalry curb bit. Bit is marked, "US, 2, and N.S." There appears to be another marking but it is not decipherable. Approx. 7.5" long x 6.5" wide.
