Antique dated photo (1910 Happy Camp Photo) Lumber Jack camp with group of lumber jacks in camp. There are very few original photos of the town of Happy Camp California during this era especially the logging camp .Happy Camp was founded by a group of prospectors in 1851, there's a unique story that goes along with the town's strange name. Upon arriving in the area for the first time, one miner named James Camp proclaimed "This is the happiest day of my life." So, the region was officially named Happy Camp.Matting is 10 inches by 12 inches photo is 6 5/8 inches by 8 5/8 inches.
