A beautiful Neo-Classic-style console table in figured walnut with a brass bordered mottled stone top and a mirrored back. This piece boasts great architectural design with imposing tapered support columns crowned with cast brass winged caryatid. The table has one drawer faced with a cast brass foliate motif and with a central classical mask surrounded by a foliate wreath; there are brass and gold leaf highlights and detailing throughout this table. The wood is a lovely figured walnut. This piece was purchased new for our high-end furniture and interior design showroom from Theodore Alexander Furniture in the early 2000s and was part of their Replica Collection -- though there is no label from Theodore Alexander on this piece. This table is no longer part of Theodore Alexander's collection. This piece was never sold and was always on display and is consequently in excellent condition. The detail work on this piece and its architectural form will go a long way to transform any entrance hall or foyer with its imposing presence. Add a mirror and maybe a pair of lamps and you'll be amazed by the change!
