Description
12" Edison Long Play disc record 30004 in VG original condition in the original record sleeve. The Edison Long Playing Diamond Disc Record, introduced in October 1926 by Thomas A. Edison, Inc., was the world's first commercially sold long-playing disc record. While standard records of the era only played for about 5 minutes per side, Edison’s innovative format achieved up to 20 minutes of playtime per side. Despite this massive technical breakthrough, the format was plagued by audio issues and compatibility restrictions, leading to a catastrophic commercial failure. Only 14 distinct Long Play discs were ever released before production ceased completely
