622. Radio drama script inscribed by Orson Welles to Joseph Cotton. 34 pp typed untitled wartime radio drama dialogue script for Orson Welles and Joseph Cotton. The script comprises an exchange on the world's food and man's role in its cultivation and boasting of America's ability to feed the world. Inscribed in pencil at the blank margin of page one, "from Orson Welles, with gratitude". Welles and Cotten worked together as part of Welle's Mercury Theatre on the Air, best known for the infamous October 30, 1938 broadcast of "The War of the Worlds". They would go on to collaborate on the films Citizen Kane, The Magnificent Ambersons, and The Third Man. A wonderful association between these two actors. $600 - $800
