654. Hunter S. Thompson extraordinary printed photograph with long "rant'. Rolling Stone: The Photographs, a book of portraits published in Rolling Stone magazine. Hunter S. Thompson is pictured on pages 106/107 and features him reclining on a black Harley-Davidson motorcycle. On the facing page Thompson has penned in black ink, "Down time in the think tank – Woody Creek Rod + Gun Club, The author contemplates $10 million dollar profit from the bomb-death of WLCC Turbo, the $10 million dollar sperm bomb…Between the dream & reality, there is no shadow, HS Thompson, Hunter, Jan 18 '90, Owl Farm", and additionally "A woman and her brains are soon parted – Richard Nixon Dec 1968". W.L.C.C. Turbo refers to a Limousin bull that was owned by Hunter's friend and fellow Woody Creeker, George Stranahan, owner of Woody Creek Tavern. W.L.C.C. Turbo was declared the grand champion at the 1990 National Western Stock Show in Denver and went up for stud soon after. This is the much rarer "full" version of Hunter's autograph and he wroter "Hunter" beneath it. An exceptional relic from this icon of Gonzo journalism. $2,000 - $3,000
