730. Weird Tales and Frank Kelly Freas original artwork . Collection of original artwork including: eleven pen & ink illustrations accomplished on artist's vellum and mounted to sturdy graph paper. Sizes vary from 1 in. square to 3 x 9 in. The illustrations are attributed to work done for Weird Tales magazine by either Virgil Finlay or Lawrence Sterns Stevens. In addition, a Frank Kelly Freas original painting used for the cover illustration of Walter G. Henderson's book Class G-Zero (Major Books, 1976). Accomplished in acrylic on a 13 x 16 ½ in. leaf of artist's illustration board, it exhibits a 10 in. stress crack along the left edge, bumped and creased lower corners. Also included are three matte paintings depicting jungle environments from an unknown production. The paintings are accomplished on 16 x 20 in. leaves of artist's illustration board.
