Ancient Japanese Jomon Knapped Stone Blade

East Asia, Japan, Neolithic period, Jomon to Yayoi, ca. 3000 BCE to 200 CE. A finely-knapped stone blade of an elongated triangular form with sharp blade edges, an acutely-angled point, and a tab-shaped attachment fin. Modern kanji written in black ink reads, "Hidaka Horoizumi-gun, kawa-??," with the last symbol being illegible, and when translated it indicates that this stone point was found in Hiroizumi County near Hidaka on Hokkaido Island. Size: 1.125" W x 5.7" H (2.9 cm x 14.5 cm).
