837. Tex Avery animation disc. From 1955 till the mid 1970's animation legend Tex Avery set up shop at the seminal commercial house, Cascade Pictures where he was in charge of cartoon animation commercials produced there. Commercials for products with classic characters like the Raid bugs, the Frito Bandito, Kool-Aid and many others were done there. David Allen was the lead stop motion animator at Cascade for many years, up to it's closing. When he left the studio to start his own he brought some of the equipment with him-including this animation disc, used by Tex Avery on the commercials he made there. It's still has the lime green paint that was used on all the Cascade Equipment, however the light switch on the side of the unit must have stopped working at some point and David (or someone) removed the switch box and just wired it directly to the power cord.
