A hand blown artisan art glass bud vase. The piece has a narrow neck and a flared rim and stout base. The piece is comprised of various swirling colorful hues. Some colors have a lustrous quality. The underside is signed J. PROBSTEIN. Approx. 3 x 3 in. Some information: ‘Jason Probstein is a lampworker living in Asheville, North Carolina. He works glass tubing and rod with a torch to first heat and then shape his pieces. He uses Corning Pyrex, a strong and very durable glass. Jason received a degree in scientific glassblowing from Salem Community College and has studied Venetian glass techniques at the Penland School of Crafts. He has performed residency glassblowing demonstrations at Walt Disney World, The Biltmore House and Gardens and in Asheville's Mountain Made Gallery.’ (Probsteinstudios.com) J.
