A trompe l'oeil still life of a group of prints on a marble-top; and A trompe l'oeil still life of maps of Malta along with drawings of soldiers and costumes of Malta
the former inscribed and signed 'Sijno le presenti dedicate al merto imparegnabile Ecc:za il Ven:do Balj Fr. Francesco de Conti Trotti: Generale della Squadra/ delle Galere, dell'Inclitto Sacro Ordine Gerosolimitano: dal suo umilisimo Servo Sebastiano Ittar Architetto' (on the watercolour of a boat, upper right)

Footnotes:
The son of an architect, Stefan Ittar, Sebastiano was born in 1768 in Catania. He moved, with his father to Malta, where the pair worked on the Library of Valetta. After his father's death in 1790, Sebastiano then moved to Rome.

He is perhaps best known as one of the architects employed by Thomas Bruce, 7th Earl of Elgin to Athens in the very early 19th century to take measurements and make drawings of the ancient buildings there. A volume of 54 of his drawings and studies is now conserved at the British Museum (museum no. 2012,5004.1.1)
