Description
A very fine, working example of a RARE early Stevens mechanical bank, manufactured in 1878. Referred to as the 'Bird on Roof'- bird perched on the ridge of a building, which 'pecks' a penny into the slot when activated.
Condition
Good overall condition [not overly painted bank to start]. It has hints of original paint. Action is operational.
