SPECS: 5" Stainless barrel, checkered walnut grips with gold Rampant Colt medallions, blued finish with polished sides, grooved backstrap, beavertail grip safety, grooved spur hammer, rear slide serrations, dovetailed rear sight, grooved trigger shoe, and 9-round Colt steel magazine. HISTORY: The Colt Series 70 pistol was produced between 1970 and 1983 in Government Model and Commander sizes. The Series 70 was Colt's new and improved variation of the battle proven 1911A1 pistol, with a major change calculated to improve accuracy. It was a collet style barrel bushing with four flexible fingers that centered the barrel perfectly in relation to the slide.
