A French 1st Standard Silver Cased Pastry Server, Mark of Emile Puiforcat
Paris, circa 1857 or after, with 950 Minerva mark, featuring an engraved gold wash reticulated blade and stylized relief decoration to handle, "PB" monogram to verso of handle, presented in an antique green leatherette fitted retail case.
11 1/8 in.

The mark of Emile Puiforcat was used by the grandson, Jean Puiforcat, until 1945.
