Description
SPECS: Smooth walnut stock with gloss finish, high-gloss engraved blued receiver, silver medallion stock inlay, 26" octagon barrel, adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight, dovetail silver bead front sight, polished curved metal buttplate, polished metal saddle ring, polished metal forearm cap, silver trigger and full length tube magazine. CONDITION: This gun is in nice condition with a couple of light scuffs under the stock, has a perfect sharp/ clean bore (possibly unfired), appears to be in good working order and comes in the box with commemorative sleeve (does not include paperwork - sleeve will have some wear). HISTORY: The Winchester Model 94 Buffalo Bill Commemorative Rifles & Carbines were offered in 1968 in an effort to raise funds for the then new Buffalo Bill Museum that opened in 1969 as an extension to the Whitney Western Art Museum. They were designed by Herb Glass who worked with Buffalo Bill Memorial Association Trustee Peter Kriendler. The combination of Buffalo Bill’s legacy, the workmanship of Winchester, and the showmanship of people like Buffalo Bill’s own grandson, Fred Garlow, ensured a successful fundraising campaign for the new Buffalo Bill Museum—and the completion of a modern museum that not only honored William F. Cody but also interpreted the dynamic story of the landscape, the wildlife, and the cultures of the American West. This rifle marks an important milestone in the development of what is now the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. FREE SHIPPING & NO PROCESSING FEES.
