Treen had been a Harley-Davidson motorcycle dealer and had pitched them the idea of making a lightweight motorcycle for young riders. When Harley-Davidson rejected the idea, Treen had the idea of entering the market himself and designed his Servi-Cycle. The Simplex Servi-Cycle was introduced in 1935. The Simplex Servi-Cycle 125 features a 125cc/4 HP single-cylinder, two-stroke engine paired with a unique double downtube and full loop frame with a shapely fuel tank tucked in between the upper frame rails. The Simplex has a distinctive look, which the company maintained after World War II until 1960. This lot consists of one rolling chassis with a frame number 05769 under the neck. The motor sitting in the frame is serialized 40391. The lot includes a large number of extra parts, including several other sets of motor cases (at least 3), 1 muffler, numerous carburetors, spare cables and belts, and numerous other small parts. Tires are completely dry rotted and cracked and will not hold air, belts and cables are showing their age with cracking on the surface. Sold as is with NO title.
