Illyrischer Helm. Griechisch, 7. - 5. Jh. v. Chr. H 26cm. Bronze. Auf der runden Kalotte zwei Doppelgrate für den Helmbusch, der an der Vorder- und Hinterseite an Löchern befestigt war. Am Rand des Helms zieht sich vom rechteckigen Gesichtsausschnitt bis zum Nackenschild eine getriebene Zierleiste, an der mit Hilfe von vielfach erhaltenen Nieten das Helmfutter befestigt war. Unten an den Spitzen des Gesichtsausschnitts je ein Loch zur Befestigung des Riemens. Mit schöner grüner Patina, Riss im Nackenschild, Kalotte mit Restaurierungen, am Rand kleine Ausbrüche. Two double ridges on the round calotte for the crest, which was attached to holes at the front and back. On the edge of the helmet, from the rectangular face cut-out to the neck shield, there is an embossed decorative moulding to which the helmet lining was attached with the help of rivets, many of which have been preserved. Hole at the bottom of each tip of the face cut-out for attaching the strap. With beautiful green patina, crack in the neck plate, skull with restorations, small chips on the edge.
