British. 1882. A spectacular Martin Brothers tea pot decorated with birds and flowers. On one side, there is a moon and the birds are sleeping. Opposite side, the sun rises from the bottom of the piece and the birds are in flight. Profusely decorated in low-relief and stamping. Striking salt-glazing in vivid blues and browns. Marked, "W.E.W 24 5 82. RW Martin London & Southall".

Condition
Tea pot has chips and restoration to the inner and outer rim edges. 4" hairline to the right of the spout. 4" hairline on the left side of spout near the pair of birds. Loss of 2/3 of the inner rim of the lid. Displays well.
