Chinese Export Silk U.S. Eagle Embroidery China, c. 1900 Dark brown satin-weave panel worked and appliqued in lustrous silk and metallic threads, depicting an eagle with one glass eye perched on a U.S. Shield over crossed flags, all surmounted by a pink banner inscribed 'E PLURIBUS UNUM', mounted in later glazed maple frame. 20 x 23 1/2 in. framed 23 1/2 x 27 1/4 in.
