SEMI-AUTOMATIC RIFLE. Cal. 22 LR. S# 74068. Bbl. 23". Model 63 semi-automatic rifle mfg. by Winchester in 1948. Left side of the bbl. is marked with Winchester's mfg. information, followed by the Winchester trademark logo, as well as the model and cal. designations. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bolt and plunger bar, which are in-the-white. 1-piece plain wood pistol grip buttstock, with flat inverse checkered steel buttplate, and plain wood forend. Dovetailed aluminum beaded blade front sight, with dovetailed U-notch rear sight. Matching numbers are present on the upper and lower assemblies. CONDITION: metal components retain bountiful amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting a few superficial handling marks, some scattered spots of light surface oxidation, as well as a small spot of cleaned pitting that is present on the right side of the receiver. Mirror bore, retaining well defined rifling throughout. Wood furniture shows some superficial marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable.
