Egmondville Earthenware 1/4 Gal Jug

Description

Canadian. 1860-1880. A 1/4 gal earthenware jug with sponge decoration. Certainly southwest Ontario and most likely Egmondville, Ontario. Great glaze. Rare to see Ontario pieces decorated in this fashion, especially a tiny jug like this one.

Size
8" x 4.25" (bottom diameter).

Condition
Very good. 1/4" chip to lip front and a 3" hairline from lip left side. 3" hairline mid-body. Several potstones.
