American. 1860. Samuel Hart 6 gal butter crock from Fulton, NY. Outstanding and rare decoration of a dog carrying a basket. A unique piece.

Size
12.75" x 13.25" x 13.5".

Condition
Good condition. Crock is slightly out-of-round with a 4" in-the-firing separation on the interior of rim on reverse, visible as a 4" line on exterior of reverse. The separation on the interior is filled and coloured. A tight 5" hairline from rim to left of decoration. 1" rim chip rear. Restoration to the handles. Right handle has been replaced. Magic marker on base.
