Thangka, height 388cm, width 116cm, kesi (silk threads) painted with mineral pigments. Adopting the kesi technique of "continuous warp and discontinuous weft", rows of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are woven with silk threads, showing brilliant colors and distinct layers. The center of the painting features Sakyamuni Buddha, surrounded by Bodhisattvas and Dharma protectors, presenting a typical style of Ming Dynasty Tibetan Buddhist thangka. Ming Dynasty (1368–1644). Kesi thangka was a top-tier Buddhist offering in the Ming Dynasty. This well-preserved thangka is an important physical object for researching cultural exchanges between Han and Tibetan areas in the Ming Dynasty, possessing extremely high religious and artistic value.
