Length 1.3cm, Width 1cm, Weight 33g, An ornament of noble jade pendant sets or Buddhist prayer beads from the Tang Dynasty to the Song Dynasty, similar artifacts are mostly found in sites such as the Tang Dynasty Chang'an City in Xi'an, Shaanxi and the Song Dynasty Lin'an City in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. Made with repoussé and chasing techniques, the whole piece is melon rib-shaped, the surface is chased with radial textures, and a central perforation for stringing together, with a neat shape and well-preserved gold gilding. Tang Dynasty to the Song Dynasty (c. 7th–13th centuries AD). An important component of jade pendant sets or prayer beads, paired or complete sets of melon rib-shaped spacer beads with well-preserved gold gilding and neat shapes are rare in existence, holding important value for the study of costume systems and Buddhist culture from the Tang Dynasty to the Song Dynasty; the market price of a single piece is at the level of tens of thousands of yuan, and a complete set can reach several hundred thousand yuan.
