
Description
This shotgun was made by Remington Arms Co. in Ilion, NY circa 1870-1890. The barrel measures 16 gauge Improved Cylinder. Per Flayderman's Guide, These shotguns are interchangeable with 16 Gauge Brass or 20 Gauge paper shells. It features a bead front sight on a 26 1/4" barrel. It is fitted with a 2 piece hardwood stock and handguard. The breech has an ejector and the upper tang is marked with the three line Remington Arms Co. address. The rear stock is fitted with a metal butt plate. LOP: 13 1/4". CALIBER/GA: 16 GA. S/N: n/a. FFL: Antique.
Condition
Good - Mechanics are stiff but functional. Stock shows dings and scratches from use. Metal has spots of pitting and oxidation. Bore is smooth and shiny.
