Unusual box, Western Super-X New Mark 5, believed to have been loaded in late 1962, possibly December of 1962. Using the new foil like material for the Mark 5 boxes. This is a 12 gauge, 2-3/4", 7 1/2 shot 1pc box F & C. This box is loaded with off white paper hulls, box is stamped "EXP 34501", not many of these are thought to have survived. Unknown as to why Western was experimenting with Paper hulls especially white ones when the ammunition manufacturers were transitioning to plastic hulls. CALIBER/GA: 12 GA.

GOOD - some edge wear and creasing, still a great unique display piece.
