
This Modelo 1891 Argentine Mauser was manufactured in Loewe Berlin Armory in Germany. there is no caliber marking, but these rifles were chambered in 7.65x53 caliber. The 22 3/4" barrel is fitted with an inverted "V" front sight painted white and adjustable rear sight. The receiver is discolored from the removal of the crest that was once there as it was common for them to be removed before coming to the US. The left of the receiver reads "MAUSER MODELO ARGENTINE 1891, MANUFACTURA LOEWE BERLIN" the bolt has a bright finish and the sporterized hardwood stock is fitted with sling mounts and a steel butt plate. Condition
Good - Bore is shiny with visible rifling and light frosting. Mechanics are good, bolt is smooth. Some oxidation on the butt plate. Cleaning needed for receiver and trigger guard.
