
This Vetterli rifle was produced in 1889 by the Terni production facility in Italy. It has a short post style front sight and a rear sight adjustable for distance. The receiver is marked "Terni 1889" with a cartouche atop the receiver, but is not legible. The stock is solid and shows use and wear with a cartouche stamped on each side of the rear stock. The mark on the left side is marked with the Roma D'Arma dated 1917 and the right with a Torino D'Arma dated 1889. The stock is marked near the metal butt plate with the matching serial number. Fair - This rifle shows oxidation on most of the metal part. Mechanics are stiff but functional. Bore has some shine with visible rifling.
