
This Berthier rifle was manufactured by Et. Continsouza company for the French in 1917. It is fitted with a block shaped front sight and a flip up rear sight adjustable for elevation on a 32" barrel. The rear barrel band is fitted with a round ring on the left side The receiver has several makings that read "MA S 1917" on the right side and "PG" with a circle C and circle P on the left. Further back on the receiver reads" Et. ContinsouzaMLE-M-16". The receiver and the trigger guard have matching serial numbers. The rear of the stock is fitted with a sling mount on the bottom and metal butt plate with a "Z5 UN" stamped at the top. LOP: 13 1/4". CALIBER/GA: 8mm Lebel. S/N: 52718. FFL: C&R.
Condition
Good - Good mechanics, visible oxidation on the rear sight and butt plate. Bore is frosted with visible rifling.
