Made in Germany circa 1850 with interesting German "Crown /U" 1891 proofs long after the percussion era had ended. These pistols appear to be a pair with or at least made by the same maker with one numbered "77" and the other numbered "48". Both guns feature round 40 caliber steel rifled "Screw" type flared 4" o/u barrels with top barrel having a cone sight. Guns have proofmarked box lock actions with double trigger and exposed percussion hammers. Matching hardwood one piece grips with scalloped design on left. Guns come in foam lined oak case. CALIBER/GA: 40 cal. S/N: 77/48. FFL: Antique.
Condition
FAIR - steel parts fading to a gray patina. Traces of varnish on grips. Pitted bores with functioning but typical finicky mechanics with barrels frozen. Case in good condition.
