
Manufactured by Ludwig Loewe in Berlin between 1890 and 1895. This customized Mauser was exported to the Chilean forces. Features a 22" refinished step-down barrel with rear flip-up notch leaf sights and hooded front blade. Bolt action with internal magazine and bolt safety. Left side of the receiver is stamped "MASUER CHILENO MODELO 1895 / MANUFACTURA LOEWE BERLIN". Serial number matches the barrel. Caliber is not stamped, but likely the original 7x57 Mauser, bore measures a 7. Fitted with a one piece Mannlicher style wood stock. Inserts placed where d-rings and extended hinged buttplate would normally be. Capped with a hard rubber butt plate. LOP: 13-3/4". CALIBER/GA: 7x57. S/N: B287. FFL: Antique.
