This rifle was manufactured by Eddystone in 1918. It is features a blade style front sight with guards and an adjustable rear peep sight with flip up peep sight for longer ranges. The 26 3/4" barrel is marked with the "E" with Flaming Bomb cartouche and an 8-18 barrel date. Fitted below the barrel is the bayonet lug and stacking swivel. The receiver has the Flaming Bomb cartouche on the left of the receiver and "US Model of 1917 Eddystone" on the top of the receiver. The bolt is marked with an "R" indicating a Remington made bolt. The stock is fitted with a steel butt plate with door for a cleaning kit (empty). Also included is a 1917 dated Remington bayonet that measures 21 3/4" with 17" blade. LOP: 13 1/2". Condition
Good - Color of the rear stock is lighter than the upper and front handguards. Barrel bands have screws replaced and the rifle is missing the front and rear sling mounts. Some metal pards show oxidation. Bayonet shows oxidation and has a bent tip. Mechanics are good and bore is frosted with visible rifling.
