
This rifle was manufactured in Japan at the Kokura Arsenal. It features an inverted "V" front sight and a fixed rear peep sight on a 26 1/4" barrel. The stock has a short upper hand guard and the rear barrel band has a side mount sling swivel. The receiver has the markings for the 25th series production and the Kokura Arsenal with the serial number. The "Mum" has been removed from the top of the receiver. The bolt has the rough welded safety with the oval shaped bolt handle. The stock has the rear sling mount on the left side and a wooden butt plate held in with 3 nails. Also included is the bayonet with hook that measures 20" overall and has a 15 1/2" blade. LOP: 12 1/2". CALIBER/GA: 7.7x58 Arisaka. S/N: 85599. FFL: C&R.
Condition
Fair - Bore is frosted with visible rifling. Mechanics are good and metal parts show oxidation. Stock shows wear mostly on the butt plate. Bayonet is missing part of the wood handle.
