
This long rifle is stamped "Budapest M.95" with a barrel marked with "W" and "15" possibly indicating a production date of 1915. The caliber is not marked, however these rifles were originally chambered in 8x50R with many later converted to 8x56R, however this rifle does not have the markings of being rechambered. It is still recommended to have the chamber checked by a gunsmith. It features an inverted "V" front sight and an adjustable rear sight on a 31" barrel. Below the barrel is a bayonet lug on the front barrel band and a sling mount on the rear barrel band. It is equipped with a straight pull bolt with internal magazine that uses en bloc clips. The rear of the stock is fitted with a sling mount and steel butt plate. Included with this rifle is a Fiskars made bayonet with scabbard. The blade measures 11 1/4" and 16 1/4" overall. Condition
Good - Stock shows dings and scratches from use. Barrel is dark, but has visible rifling. Mechanics are stiff but good. Cosmoline is visible in the receiver.
