Vintage Coro Abstract/Brutalist Brooch, 1960's Sterling or Sterling Plated. & Enameled. This is an abstract shadowbox design with a gunmetal blue enameld hammere background and an overlay of freeform abstract raised puzzle like meandering design and a freeform frame as well. It is not marked as sterling that I could find but both the top and bottom test as sterling and possibly plated however the acid testing stayed positive for over five minutes before I cleaned it - it has a combined weight of 32.48 gr. It is appx. 2-1/8" tall and 1.75" wide. It is signed Coro with locking hinge. Could be late 1950's but not later than 1960's. I've seen others with a different color on the background. Typical oxidation on the silver that will polish away but I do not clean silver automatically as many silver buyers prefer it as is. This is in very good condition. (W12024.2 SS13133 J LD 2/2/24).
