A charming mid-19th century English porcelain cabinet plate, likely Staffordshire, with a hand-painted Italianate landscape to the centre depicting a classical lake scene with mountainous backdrop and villa.
The broad rose pompadour border is enriched with a gilt line around the well and rim.
Unmarked to the reverse, typical of many Staffordshire wares of this period.
Diameter: 22.5 cm vCondition: No chips, cracks or restoration.
Some wear and surface scratches to the painted centre and border, and minor rubbing to the gilding – commensurate with age.
