The decoration is delicately executed with subtle shading and fine brushwork, typical of high-quality decorative porcelain of the period.
The painted centre is framed by a cobalt blue border with a gilt line, which contrasts attractively with the pale ground and highlights the painted scene.
The porcelain is mounted within an applied gilt bronze (ormolu) gallery rim, cast in a stylised bamboo pattern and patinated to a warm tone.
The bronze mount is original to the piece and securely fitted, enhancing both its visual presence and its status as a decorative cabinet or display dish.
