A mid-20th century English silver-plated gallery tray, produced by Cavalier and stamped “Silver Plated – Made in England” to the underside.
The tray features a pierced gallery surround with a repeating Gothic-arch design, enclosing a circular tray engraved with scrolling foliate decoration and finished with a rolled rim.
Well proportioned and of good weight, the piece works well as a serving tray or decorative centrepiece.
The silver plate shows wear, surface scratching, and areas of spotting
Diameter 29 cm, height 4 cm.
