A mid-19th century copy of Moore’s Irish Melodies with Music, People’s Edition, published Paternoster Row, April 1859.
Bound in the original green cloth with decorative gilt tooling to the spine and front board, containing the complete series of Thomas Moore’s celebrated Irish Melodies with musical arrangements by Sir John Stevenson and Sir Henry R. Bishop.
Includes both lyrics and musical scores such as The Meeting of the Waters.
Condition: The binding shows some rubbing and wear to the spine ends and corners, with light fraying in places.
The gilt decoration remains clear and attractive.
Pages with some age-toning, scattered foxing, and handling marks.
A later inscription is present on the front endpaper, dated 2017.
Structurally sound and complete.
