Description: AIWA MX-1500K Amplifier & TX-1500K Quartz Digital Tuner – Vintage Japanese Hi-FiA matching pair of vintage AIWA hi-fi separates comprising the MX-1500K stereo integrated amplifier and the TX-1500K quartz synthesiser stereo tuner, both made in Japan.
These units come from AIWA’s late-1980s full-size separates range, from the period when the brand was producing proper Japanese-built hi-fi rather than later compact systems.
The two units connect together using the original AIWA system control ribbon cable (included), allowing the tuner and amplifier to operate as a linked set.

The MX-1500K is a full-size integrated amplifier rated at 50 watts per channel, featuring a real-time LED spectrum analyser and 7-band graphic equaliser.
Inputs include phono (turntable), tuner, CD, tape 1, tape 2, and DAT/VCR, along with a microphone input with level control and surround/Dolby processing.
The front panel uses traditional analogue controls with LED visualisation.
Tuner – AIWA TX-1500K
The TX-1500K is a quartz-locked digital tuner covering LW, MW and FM, with digital frequency display and preset station memory.
It connects to the amplifier via the system cable and also has standard aerial connections on the rear.
Condition Both units are in used vintage condition.
There are surface scratches, scuffs and cosmetic marks to the metal cases and lids from age and storage, as visible in the photographs.
