The frieze is similarly inlaid, and the table is raised on twin octagonal pedestal bases, each panelled and decorated with matching inlaid motifs.
This type of work was produced in Northern India, particularly in Hoshiarpur and Rajasthan, where the Mughal tradition of inlaid furniture continued into the 20th century, often for export to the West.
The craftsmanship and scale make this table ideal as a statement dining piece, comfortably seating 8.

The table itself, we believe, dates to the mid-20th century and is of Anglo-Indian manufacture, consistent with furniture produced in Northern India—particularly Hoshiarpur and Rajasthan—for export to the British market.
