A fine quality wall-mounted lantern of bold and elegant form.
The solid brass frame features a domed crown adorned with cast acanthus leaf drops and a pierced finial gallery.
The body retains its large, original frosted glass shade, housing internal lighting.
This lantern was removed from the Savoy Hotel in London some years ago and is one of a set of four we acquired.
A pair from the set featured in the 2024 Amazon Prime series A Gentleman in Moscow.
This example is offered unpolished, showing an attractive aged patina to the brass.
A photograph of a polished version is included for reference, should the buyer wish to restore the finish.
